Before we start we will have a little chat about your casting and how we can work that into the session. I’ll also give you an overview of my approach and discuss any specific requirements you may have. Half of the session will be inside in the studio space and the second half will be outdoors.

BRIXTON, South London.

Nearest stations - BRIXTON (Victoria Line) or Streatham Hill (Overground/Mainline).

Bring a variety of clothes with you so we can try a range of different looks and styles. I like to cover all angles.

I find dark colours work best - Greys, Dark blues, Navy blue, Dark greens...

‘Black’ does have a timeless and stylish feel but can often leave you with a ‘floating head’ result and leave your face in the image blending into the background, and that is something we want to try to avoid.

However, if there is something you really want to try then just bring it along and we can try it out.

Also try to bring a nice mix of styles; Crew Neck T-shirts, Vest tops, Collared Shirts, Hoodies, Jackets...

It’ s always great to have a clear neck line to emphasise the formation of the face.

A great headshot is also all about the eyes.

I find a great way to emphasise your eyes and eye colour is to wear something in a similar colour.

In terms of the bottom half – just bring something which makes you feel confident, comfortable and is easy to move in. Please avoid wearing anything distracting (dots, stripes, big logos etc.) Nothing that is going to draw attention from the face.

I would advise that you do not drink alcohol for at least 3 days before we work. The reason for this is that alcohol consumption can have a negative impact on your skin and energy levels. Please try and remember to bring a bottle of water along with you on the day.

Don’t worry if this is your first session. It’s totally normal to feel slightly nervous or unsure of 'HOW TO BE' in front of the camera. It is also understandable that you want to feel and look your best in your shots. As an actor myself, I've been in your shoes, so you can rest assured that you will get everything you want out of this session. Just try to relax and as cliché as it sounds – Just be yourself. I will take you through the process step by step at a comfortable pace, and I’m sure by the end of the session you will be enjoying it.

I would advise to any clients using makeup to please be aware of using too much. I always find that ‘less is more’. You can always adjust or add should you need throughout the session. If you have agreed to hire a professional MUA for the shoot then please let me know prior to the session and organise all details directly with each other. Please also make sure that you are ready to start work before our session begins.

Once we have decided on a suitable time, please make a £50 deposit prior to your session. This reserves your slot time. Your deposit will be taken off your total fee. Please pay the remainder of your fee in cash on the day. Please be advised that cancellations must be made within 48 hours prior to the session. Any cancellations outside of the 48 hour time frame will result in loss of your deposit.
